(short, 15 min) When a woman in the city of Rotterdam gets overwhelmed, she imagines herself on an island, only to be frightened by the contrast between the city and nature, dreamscapes both tainted by human activity.

A process in which I started creating music during the writing stage, and in which the script was partly even written by Fé while listening to demos. Over the time span of a few years, I was given space to create a score that plays with leitmotifs, contrast between city and nature and elevating the movement happening on screen.

An ode to transformations, (uneven) transitions and viewing the body as an ongoing project, while paying homage to other gender-non-conforming people who I see take leaps to free themselves in their expression of gender and body every single day.

A cyclical installation using a hanging screen which can move up and down using winches and displays footage of people falling and eventually transforming (both phisically and metaphorically).

(mid-length, 30-40 min) Graduation project from Fé Baan. A film about doubting. More specifically: a film about the filmcrew being unsure what to even make. Footage of the crew having conversations about life and their ideas are followed by the actual scènes they come up with.

Fluisterbeton (interactive installation, 2025)
A companion-piece to Fé Baan’s ‘Vannacht logeerde ik in mijzelf en vanochtend besloot ik er te blijven wonen’. An interactive sculpture inspired by the bunkers we filmed at on Texel. Reacts to touch by playing sound (an atonal sound which is also present in the film).

(short, 15 min) On christmas eve, Willem (50) misses his depressive son Jona (18), who has secluded himself upstairs. While Willem brings food up to him during the family christmas dinner, he realizes Jona is not only a constant in his thoughts, but in the whole family’s as well.

Ripples: plant installation (interactive installation, 2024)
An interactive centerpiece at the Ripples program during Super Sonic Jazz. Hovering over and touching a plant connected to a chip sending signals to a Monome Norns machine, visitors can make this plant react to their presence with sound.
